SSAB, a Swedish company specializing in processing raw materials to produce steel, announced that it will provide Oshkosh Corporation, the US’ leading innovator of mission-critical vehicles and essential equipment, with fossil-free steel.

Therefore, Oshkosh Corporation will become the first US company that applied fossil-free steel in commercial and industrial vehicles.

SSAB aimed to supply fossil-free steel to the market on a commercial scale in 2026. In 2021, the company delivered the first steel produced by hydrogen-reduced iron.
