US’ Nucor to set up new melt shop at its bar mill in Arizona

Nucor Corporation, a steel and related products producer in America, stated that it will invest about US$100 million to construct a new melt shop at its bar mill in Kingman, Arizona. The construction was expected to take approximately two years.

After completion, the mill will have the capacity to produce 600,000 tons every year to fulfill continuing demand for relative construction in the western region of the US.

Nucor indicated that the new melt shop could help them stay at the leading position in the rebar market.
