Brazil exports less pig iron in Jul

According to Brazil Customs statistics, the country’s pig iron exports totaled around 281,000 tons in July this year, dropping by 31.1% compared to the previous month.

Among them, the exports to the US accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 226,000 tons. Europe and South America were also the two main export destinations, with separate volumes of roughly 49,000 tons and 55,000 tons.

During the period, producers in the Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo, the southeast region of Brazil, contributed a big number of exports, amounting to 225,000 tons.
