Quintain Steel Co., Ltd., one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan, reported that its consolidated revenue was around NT$406.4 million in April, surging by nearly 91% compared to the same month a year ago, the second-highest since last year.
During the period, Quintain Steel’s after-tax net profit attributable to the parent company was NT$84.16 million, and the accumulated after-tax net profit in the first four months was around NT$242.3 million, with earnings per share (EPS) of about NT$0.7.
Due to rising steel prices, stronger demand in the market, and tighter domestic supply, Quintain Steel’s shipment and prices hiked accordingly. It was expected that the firm’s profits will continue to greatly grow this year.
