US’ CTL plate exports rise in Mar m-o-m, y-o-y

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 101,700 tons of cut-to-length plate (CTL plate) in March, rising by 36.8% compared to the previous month and also hiking by 11.5% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 51,900 tons, a month-on-month increase of 48.8% and a year-on-year growth of 8.9%. Canada ranked second with around 44,700 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.
During the period, the export value totaled approximately US$109 million, up by 45.9% month on month and 30.3% year on year.
