Rodrigo Duterte decides to lift ban on new mining deals

According to the policy announcement from Rodrigo Duterte, the president of the Philippines, the new mining deals ban policy, which has been implemented for nearly 9 years, has been lifted on April 15th.

The moratorium on new mining agreements has been implemented for nearly 9 years, and the cancelation for the ban policy represented the government was open to new-mine industry investment.

In addition, the government also seek to increase their financial income from the mine industry investment, to provide more fund to develop infrastructure to pull the economy from the bogged down by Covid-19.
