Australia makes first AD sunset review final ruling on China’s rebar

According to the Anti-Dumping Notice No. 2021/030 issued by the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission on April 12, 2021, the Minister for Industry, Science and Technology of Australia accepted the recommendation and reasons from the commission for the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation to continue the AD measures on steel reinforcing bar, with a diameter up to and including 50 millimeters, exported to Australia from China, from April 13, 2021.
The duty imposition is based on the combination of fixed and variable duty method, with a dumping margin of 19.0% on all China’s exporters.
The products involved are under tariff codes 7213.10.00.42, 7214.20.00.47, 7126.96.36.199, 7227.90.90.01, 7227.90.90.02, 7227.90.90.04, 7188.8.131.52, 7184.108.40.206, and 7220.127.116.11.
Plain round bar, stainless steel, and reinforcing mesh are excluded from this AD measure.
