US Cleveland-Cliffs obtains approval to acquire ArcelorMittal's US assets

The US regulators approved Cleveland-Cliffs to acquire ArcelorMittal's US assets for US$3.3 billion.

This acquisition will make Cleveland-Cliffs the largest flat-rolled steel manufacturer in North America.

Cleveland-Cliffs'acquisition included ArcelorMittal's blast furnace plants Indiana Harbor and Burns Harbor in Indiana, blast furnace plant Cleveland in Ohio, electric arc furnace plant in Coatesville and Steelton, Pennsylvania, and rolling plant Riverdale in Illinois.
