German crude steel production rises in Oct y-o-y

According to the data from the German Steel Federation (WV Stahl), the production of German crude steel totaled around 3.4 million tons in October, hiking by 13.3% from the previous month and also up by 3.1% compared to the same month a year ago.

Among them, the output of blast furnace crude steel had a year-on-year increase of 1.3% to around 2.2 million tons, and that of electric arc furnace crude steel had a year-on-year growth of 6.6% to 1.2 million tons.

In the first ten months of this year, German crude steel output dropped by nearly 14% year on year, reaching approximately 29 million tons.
