China cancels import tariffs on 136 steel substrates

According to the announcement from the Chinese government, China decided to cancel 136 different steel substrate tariffs from this December.

By some of the views from the market, this policy might benefit the steel mills to reduce their production cost, and also could keep the domestic steel mill to stay in China not move to other countries such as Southeast Asia.

However, the policy might not affect China’s steel exporting market, because the affected mills were not that much.
