Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., one of the main stainless steel manufacturers in Taiwan, announced to keep its new stainless steel prices for October yesterday (September 29), following the announcement from Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), another Taiwan’s major stainless steel producer.
In terms of the domestic market, the prices of 300 series hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil were kept unchanged, and those of 200 series hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil and 430 products weren’t announced. The surcharge of 316 products and the exported prices of 300 series hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil were both maintained the same as the previous month.
Walsin Lihwa, a stainless steel mill in Taiwan, raised its prices for October this time, different from Tang Eng and Yusco. Therefore, market participants said that stainless steel market prices would keep stable firstly and fluctuate with the future international nickel price trend.
