Taiwan’s carbon steel prices to hike after Chung Hung’s new prices announcement

Chung Hung Steel Corporation (CHSC), a Taiwan-based carbon steel producer under China Steel Corporation (CSC), scheduled to announce its new prices for October this Thursday (September 24), and the prices were expected to increase by NT$800-1,000/ton.
The market prices of hot-rolled coil (HRC) in Taiwan were understood to increase to NT$18,000/ton after Chung Hung announced its new prices.
In addition, Taiwan’s cold-rolled coil (CRC) producers planned to raise their CQ2 (Commercial Quality) steel prices by NT$200/ton this time to make up the increase which was slowed before.
