NLMK's Lipetsk plant launches new continuous casting machine

Russia’s steel manufacturer, NLMK, announced that the new continuous casting machine (CCM-9) at its Lipetsk plant is undergoing commissioning procedures. The CCM-9 construction project took 14 months and was assembled with more than 5,000 tons of equipment and steel structure.

It was understood that the annual steel output of CCM-9 was 1.8 million tons. The company planned to use this equipment to produce wind turbine parts, ships and oil drilling rigs, large-diameter pipes, and other products, which were expected to be supplied to the Russian and international markets.
