Cleveland-Cliffs expects to restart Northshore Mining this week

Affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, Cleveland-Cliffs laid off most of its employees in April.
Chief Executive Officer Lourenco Goncalves said that as automotive industry customers resumed normal operations, all idle factories have resumed production, and Northshore Mining will also restart this week and will supply 3.5 million tons of direct reduced iron (DRI) pellets each year.
The firm announced in June that it planned to restart the Tilden Mine in Michigan, and the construction of the hot-briquetted iron (HBI) plant in Toledo, Ohio will also resume, and the production of HBI will begin before the end of the year.
