Steel production in Latin America drops 12% y-o-y last Dec

According to the market news, the total steel production in Latin America dropped 12% year on year last December, came to around 4500 million tons.

Moreover, the annual balance had shown negatively in Latin America, and the main involving country was Brazil, with a count by 56% of the total, followed by Mexico’s 30%, and Argentina’s 9%.

Nevertheless, the total production in China last year of crude steel also faced strong increase by 8% year on year, which also influenced the production in Latin America.
