US’ HRC exports rise in Dec 2019 m-o-m

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 53,000 tons of hot-rolled steel coil (HRC) in December 2019, up by 30.4% compared to the previous month and also rising by 3.4% from the same month in 2018.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, reaching around 43,000 tons, compared to 30,400 tons in the previous month and 39,500 tons in December 2018. Canada was the second-largest destination, with around 9,400 tons. The exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.
