FHS decreases wire rod prices for Oct

19 Aug 2019 16:09 reported by Claude Tseng

A A A
Vietnam Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation (FHS) announced to decrease its wire rod price by US$15/ton for October.

The company already dropped the price in total of US$26/ton in recent three months. The main reason for price down was because of the US-China trade war and Asian currency depreciation.

As a result, the demand remained weak in Asia market. Affected by above factors, FHS lowered its hot-rolled coil and wire rod price by US$10/ton and US$15/ton separately. After the adjustment, the low carbon steel wire rod list price was in the range of US$530/ton.
