According to the report, because of the breaking negotiation, the labor strike of the Chilean National Copper Company (Codelco), a Chilean state-owned copper mining company, would begin today (June 14th).

It was reported that the pattern of tight copper supply was still intensifying and the production profit shrank severely. The restart of the Codelco Chuquicamata copper smelter was blocked and further pressured the smelter.

In addition, the union said that the strike might have far-reaching effects.
