Norsk Hydro mentioned that Brazilian court has recently lifted the production ban on the group's Alunorte alumina plant.

Norsk Hydro pointed out that the resumption of Alunorte's production will accelerate its bauxite mining and increase the capacity of Albras electrolytic aluminum plants, and further regain the complete aluminum industry chain.

The annual capacity of Alunorte alumina is 6.3 million tons. After resumption, Alunorte can restore to 75-85% production in two months.

Besides, the new facility will be put into operation in the third quarter of this year, and its capacity will be further increased at that time.
