Turkish rebar prices rise on lira depreciation

Turkey’s official currency, the lira, was still depreciating on April 18th. Although the demand of rebar in Turkey was still very low, lira depreciation still caused the prices were raised again.

However, Turkish government decided to increase the tariff barriers from non-WTO members, mainly because it was to defend Iranian rebars swoop into the market. Therefore, the tariff had increased to 30% from 10%.
