Taiwan’s top stainless steel producers reported their financial results for October. Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) said its consolidated revenue surged past the NT$4 billion threshold, hitting NT$4.14 billion, a month-on-month increase of 49.8% and a year-on-year hike of 12.27%, setting a new monthly high for the company this year. Despite a revenue decline of 16.05% in the first ten months of this year, Yusco expects an improved performance in the second half.

Conversely, Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd. (Tang Eng) reported a steep decline. Its October consolidated revenue fell to NT$547.36 million, a 28.3% decrease from September and a sharp 57.43% drop from the same period last year. Tang Eng attributed the drop to reduced market demand, leading to significant declines in both sales price and volume.
