Serbia's Utva Silosi AD Kovin has chosen Danieli to supply a new electric-resistance welded (ERW) tube production line.

This investment is set to expand the company's manufacturing capabilities, with the plant currently in the design phase and operations scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027.

The new line will be installed at the Kovin facility and is designed to produce a wide variety of welded tubes for numerous industrial applications, including structural tubes and high-precision products suitable for automotive applications.

Featuring advanced technology, the equipment will ensure high product quality and operational efficiency, producing tubes with outside diameters up to 50 mm and a maximum thickness of 3 mm.  The line will operate at speeds of more than 160 m/min.

It will incorporate continuous coil joining for uninterrupted operation, with welding performed by a latest-generation high-frequency welder. Downstream operations will then enable the production of high-quality square, rectangular, and round sections.
