US steel shipments rise by 5% in Jan-Nov 2025

According to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), US domestic steel mills delivered around 7.07 million net tons in November last year, falling by 8% compared to the previous month but rising by 4.6% from the same month in 2024.

Total shipments for the first eleven months of 2025 amounted to about 83.5 million net tons, a year-on-year increase of 5%.

During the 11-month period, product performance varied across the sector. Corrosion-resistant sheet and strip rose by 4%, while hot-rolled sheet and strip had a 1% increase. Conversely, cold-rolled sheet and strip shipments declined by 3%.
