US issues final CVD results on South Korean corrosion-resistant steel

The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) finalized its administrative review on countervailing duties (CVD) for South Korean corrosion-resistant steel products covering calendar year 2023.

Under the final ruling, Hyundai Steel Company received a net subsidy rate of 1.28%. KG Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd. and KG Steel Corporation faced an upward adjustment to 5.34% from a preliminary 4.11%.

Six non-selected companies in review, including POSCO, POSCO Coated & Color Steel, POSCO International, POSCO Steeleon, SeAH Coated Metal, and SeAH Steel, received an adjusted rate of 2.88%, up from 2.39% set in the preliminary rulings.

The USDOC made certain changes to these figures from the preliminary results based on comments from interested parties.
