Turkey reports drop in 2025 wire rod exports

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s wire rod exports totaled around 907,000 tons in 2025, falling by 1.4% compared to the previous year. The export value dropped by 7.5% year on year to roughly US$519 million.

Among them, Romania was the main export destination with roughly 307,000 tons, a year-on-year drop of 2.2%. Bulgaria followed with around 77,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%, and Australia ranked third with about 71,000 tons.

In December alone, Turkey exported about 77,500 tons of wire rod, a month-on-month hike of 26% and a year-on-year drop of 39%. The value of these exports reached approximately US$44 million, up by 28% month on month and down by 41% year on year.
