Taiwan’s Yusco raises October 304 stainless steel prices by NT$1,000/ton due to rising raw material and oil costs

Yieh United Steel Corporation (Yusco), a leading stainless steel producer in Taiwan, announced price adjustments for October, raising 304 stainless steel products by NT$1,000 per ton while keeping 316L surcharges and 430 grade quotations flat.

The revision reflects escalating production expenses driven by higher raw material costs and climbing international oil prices.

The company said that Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs reported August export orders reached US$102.96 billion, surging by 71.4% annually for nineteen consecutive months of growth.

Machinery and basic metal orders increased by 28.3% and 26.8%, respectively, supported by strong artificial intelligence supply chain demand and semiconductor capital expenditures, reflecting steady terminal stainless steel demand.
