Taiwan's Yieh Hsing hikes stainless and carbon steel wire rod prices for May

Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd., one of Taiwan's major wire rod manufacturers, announced a broad price hike for its May wire rod products today (April 30).

The company raised its 300-series stainless steel wire rod by NT$4,000 per ton, while 200-series and 400-series products rose by NT$2,000 and NT$1,000, respectively. Besides, surcharges for copper-bearing and 316 series grew by NT$1,000. Carbon steel wire rods also had an NT$1,000 increase.

Yieh Hsing said that restricted production quotas for Indonesian nickel ore have raised export costs. Furthermore, the Middle East conflict continues to drive up raw material prices. These supply constraints and rising input expenses pushed the company to adjust its latest price list upward across all categories.
