Taiwan’s steel pipe prices expect to grow due to rising costs

Taiwan's largest steelmaker, China Steel Corporation (CSC), recently announced its October prices, with hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel rising by NT$600/ton and galvanized steel by NT$500/ton, respectively. This indicates that steel pipe mills will experience cost increases in October.

However, steel pipe mills have not raised their prices recently. Although the cost of pipe materials increased for steel pipe mills in October, they continued to ship and accept orders at the same prices as the previous month.

Some market participants stated that steel pipe mills have not yet raised prices, possibly due to weak market demand. It is expected that steel pipe mills will gradually adjust prices around late September.
