Taiwan’s Feng Hsin holds rebar & section steel prices steady while raising scrap quotations

14 Sep 2026 15:06 reported by Joy Liu

Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd., a leading long steel producer in Taiwan, maintained rebar prices at NT$18,100 per ton and section steel at NT$25,000 per ton, but increased scrap steel prices by NT$200 per ton to reach NT$9,600 per ton.

The stable rebar pricing reflected current market conditions after two consecutive weeks of sluggish trading, though the scrap price hike created anticipation for potential rebar adjustments next week.

Overseas material pricing showed US bulk scrap lacking quotes, Japanese H2 scrap declining by US$2 to US$358 per ton, US containerized scrap rising by US$7 to US$339 per ton, and Australian iron ore dropping by US$3.4 to US$97.85 per ton.
