E-Sheng Steel Co., Ltd., one of Taiwan's section steel manufacturers, notified clients today (May 11) of an immediate price increase of NT$500 per ton for its section steel products.

This adjustment brings angle bar (SS400, 25X2.5 to 60X5) to a range of NT$24,500-25,500 per ton. Channel bar (A36, imported) is at NT$24,300 per ton. Flat bar prices reach NT$25,000 per ton for 25X12 and NT$25,500 per ton for 25X3, 25X4.5, 25X6, 25X9, 32X3, 32X4.5, 32X6, and 38X4.5. Larger flat bar sizes (38X6.0 to 100X16) are at NT$24,500 per ton. Round bar prices rose to NT$23,000 per ton for 12mm-38mm and NT$24,000 per ton for 9mm.

The manufacturer kept all surcharges for length, quality, and cutting at NT$200 per ton. Customers must order at least 20 tons for customized lengths.
