Taiwanese mills such as Yieh Hsing and Quintain Steelare going to announce the list prices of wire rod for October delivery on September 30th after China Steel Corp. (CSC) released its October list prices of electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rod.

It’s known that CSC announced to cut the October prices of wire rod by NT$1,000/ton, expect the prices of EF Al-killed wire rod, which remained unchanged at NT$26,000/ton, considering to the difficulties that downstream screw industry faced.

Industry sources predicted that though the NT dollar recently depreciated sharply, Taiwanese mills may remain the October prices unchanged since CSC kept the prices of EF Al-killed wire rod unchanged.

At present, Taiwanese mills’ list prices of Al-killed wire rod are at NT$27,000/ton; that of rimmed wire rod is at NT$25,500/ton and that of killed wire rod is at NT$24,000/ton.
