Taiwan’s Ministry of Finance considered the overall development of the international economic situation and adopted an approach consistent with the European Union. The government will continue to suspend the imposition of anti-dumping (AD) duties on Ukrainian carbon steel plates for one year.

Taiwan has suspended the collection of AD duties on imports from Ukraine every year since the outbreak of the military aggression against Ukraine in 2022. The latest suspension order will take effect on September 14, 2026, and will remain in effect until September 13, 2027.

In addition, the government is expected to make a final ruling on non-oriented electrical steel from China and South Korea before August 31. Previously, provisional AD duties were imposed on these two types of products for a period of four months.
