Sahaviriya Steel Industries (SSI), a steel manufacturer in Thailand, introduced "SSI GREEN" on February 18, 2026, delivering Thailand’s first low-carbon hot-rolled steel coils. This environmental label supports the nation’s Net Zero targets, and 19 strategic partners joined the initiative to build a sustainable supply chain.

The company plans to reach Net Zero emissions by 2050 through energy efficiency and carbon removal. Main strategies include sourcing low-carbon raw materials and increasing green product shares.

SSI expects certifications for four Carbon Footprint and nine EPD labels in the first quarter of 2026. By working with customers on Scope 3 emissions, SSI aims to keep the Thai steel industry competitive as global environmental standards evolve.
