After the purchase in June, South Korea has bought again a total of 3,000 tons of high grade primary aluminum ingot registered on the London Metal Exchange via tenders closed.

Metal Park Corp. continued to offer 2000 tons to South Korea at US$160.8/ton while Glencore International AG sold another 1,000 tons to the country at US$155/ton.

However, there is worldwide shortage of aluminum ingot around the globe. Most customers have finished the year-long contracts since the beginning of the year.

It is said the suppliers are hard to offer any quantity to meet the demand and the situation of shortage will continue toward the middle of the year. Now there are many customers looking for stable supply of the aluminum ingots.
