Singapore’s construction demand expected to remain strong in 2026

2 Feb 2026 16:53 reported by Ana Lee

Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA) forecasts that construction demand in Singapore will remain strong in 2026.

This year's demand will be primarily driven by the development of Changi Airport Terminal 5 and the expansion of the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort. Institutional and residential projects are the main drivers of this growth trend.

The total output of Singapore's construction industry (in nominal value) is projected to increase to S$43 billion to S$46 billion in 2026, mainly due to the gradual fulfillment of awarded contracts in recent years and the continued strong construction demand forecast this year.
