Salzgitter AG launches new "Initiative Construction" for infrastructure & construction projects

20 Mar 2026 16:36 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Salzgitter AG, a steel producer in Germany, has introduced Initiative Construction to pool its Group-wide expertise for German infrastructure and construction projects.

This new platform provides centralized access to a diverse portfolio, including section steel, heavy plate, tubes, and flat steel. By connecting internal networks and logistics, the company aims to ensure high material availability and reliable planning for time-critical projects.

A central element of the initiative is the supply of SALCOS® low-CO2 steel. This transformation helps meet stricter environmental regulations and the rising demand for sustainable building materials.

In this way, Salzgitter AG combines technological expertise with a circular economy to support durable, resource-efficient construction across Germany’s value chain.
