Peru has issued a final affirmative determination to impose anti-dumping (AD) duties on wire rod originating in China for a period of five years. The duty is set at US$81.3 per ton for all producers and exporters.

The products involved are non-alloy, low- and high-carbon steel wire rods with a circular section and smooth surface, with diameters ranging from 5.5 mm to 16 mm, under HS codes 7213.20.00.00, 7213.91.10.00, 7213.91.90.00, and 7213.99.00.00.

Following an investigation launched in January 2025, this AD duty succeeds the previous temporary rate of US$64.6 per ton, effective in July 2025 for four months.

The final duty takes effect on the day after the official announcement.
