Nucor hikes HRC spot prices again

Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, raised its hot-rolled coil (HRC) consumer spot price (CSP) to US$1,095 per short ton yesterday (May 26). This US$5 per short ton increase pushed the steelmaker's cumulative price increases to US$145 since the start of the year.

Besides, California Steel Industries (CSI), Nucor’s West Coast joint venture, also adjusted its HRC prices upward by US$5 per short ton, bringing its rate to US$1,145 per short ton.
