Nucor again raises hot-rolled coil spot prices

4 Aug 2026 16:26 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, raised its consumer spot price (CSP) for hot-rolled coil (HRC) by US$10 per short ton to US$1,155 per short ton for the week beginning August 3, 2026. This adjustment represented a third consecutive weekly price increase.

California Steel Industries (CSI), Nucor's West Coast joint venture, also increased its hot-rolled coil spot price by US$15 per short ton to reach US$1,215 per short ton.

These upward price revisions reflected strong ongoing demand within the American flat-rolled steel market, coupled with a significant decline in foreign import volumes.
