Nippon Steel announced on March 11 that contract prices for domestic stainless steel sheets will rise for March 2026.

Nickel-based cold-rolled sheets and plates will increase by 20,000 yen per ton, while chromium-based cold-rolled sheets will go up by 10,000 yen per ton.

This adjustment includes both alloy-linked surcharges and the first base price change in two years. For nickel-based products, this represents the sixth consecutive monthly increase, bringing the total rise since August 2025 to 70,000 yen per ton. Meanwhile, chromium-based prices are rising for the first time in two months.
