At least eight workers were killed in a molten metal accident at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant in Andhra Pradesh, India. The incident occurred when molten metal spilled during production operations, causing severe casualties among workers near the affected area.

Local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident, while the plant operator has pledged support for the victims' families and a review of its safety procedures. 

The incident has once again raised concerns about workplace safety in India's heavy steel industry.
