Ukrainian steelmaker Kametstal, part of Metinvest Group, has launched its largest capital overhaul since the start of the war, with completion planned for 2025.

Despite logistical constraints and energy instability, the company carried out major repairs on blast furnace No. 9 and critical equipment in two converters.

The overhaul program also includes capital repairs of the ladle furnace, continuous casting machine No. 1, the section steel rolling mill, and the pipe mill.

In parallel, Kametstal is modernizing infrastructure, including the construction and commissioning of above-ground medium- and high-pressure water pipelines to improve water supply for key production units such as the converter shop and lime-burning facility.
