JISCO successfully mass-produces 347H stainless steel plates

JISCO has achieved a new breakthrough in special steel rolling technology by successfully mass-producing 347H stainless steel plates (8 mm × 2600 mm) for molten salt storage tanks used in concentrated solar power (CSP) plants.

Known as the “energy storage heart” of CSP plants, high-temperature molten salt tanks require materials with excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance. JISCO’s self-developed 347H stainless steel offers outstanding high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and intergranular corrosion resistance.

The new product can reduce weld seams, improving the structural safety and service life of thermal energy storage equipment, and supporting the large-scale development of China’s CSP industry.
