Interpipe is working to strengthen its Romanian manufacturing base by increasing production at its acquired Roman seamless pipe plant. One of the proposals is to expand the capacity on two production lines to fully utilize the potential of the unit. 

The Ukrainian producer is considering financing of up to EUR 20 million from the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank to support further development of the site. The company completed the acquisition of the former ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman facility in late March 2026.

Interpipe is investing in its steelmaking operations in Dnipro, with the longer term objective of covering the Romanian facility’s billet requirements internally. The Roman plant currently relies on both Interpipe Steel and outside suppliers for feedstock.

Interpipe is continuing to assess the remaining production assets, with any additional restarts or upgrades expected to depend on market demand, product performance, and customer responses.
