Industrial Transition Accelerator backs 11 Indian clean energy projects exceeding $18 billion in investments

14 Aug 2026 16:26 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The Industrial Transition Accelerator (ITA) selected eleven Indian industrial projects representing over US$18 billion in investments and an anticipated annual carbon abatement of 7.8 million tons.

Led by enterprises such as Jindal Steel, JSW Steel, ACME Group, Yamna, Circular Urban Energy, and ReNew, the portfolio spans steel, chemicals, aviation, and shipping sectors. More than 70% of the pipeline features green ammonia and green methanol initiatives, including Jindal Steel's carbon capture facility in Odisha and ACME Group's ammonia plants.

The project provides financial de-risking and clean demand creation to help developers advance toward final investment decisions, supporting India's industrial decarbonization pipeline.
