On September 29, 2025, India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated its first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation on imports of aluminum foil with a thickness of 80 micron and below from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, following an application filed by domestic producers, including Raviraj Foils Ltd., LSKB Aluminium Foils Pvt. Ltd., Hindalco Industries Ltd., Shyam Sel and Power Ltd., Shree Venkateshwara Electrocast Pvt. Ltd., and SRF Altech Ltd.

The period of investigation is from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. The injury investigation will cover April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022; April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023; April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024; and the investigation period.
