A A A
Hyundai Steel, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), and the Korea Electrical Manufacturers' Cooperative (KEMC) have formed a partnership to ensure the timely construction of the national power grid.

The companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to proactively meet the anticipated demand for transmission towers, projected to reach around 700,000 tons by 2038. Hyundai Steel will supply essential steel components, such as L-shaped steel angles, which form the structural framework of the towers.

This collaboration enables Hyundai Steel to support national infrastructure and the energy transition by guaranteeing a stable supply of key materials and collaborating on the development of next-generation transmission towers.
