Swedish state-owned railway operator Green Cargo signed an agreement with Stegra to manage freight movements for its upcoming green steel mill in Boden. As Sweden's largest rail freight operator, the company will link the industrial facility with multiple strategic maritime hubs.

The logistics network relies on previous port agreements established with Luleå, Skellefteå, and Umeå. Under this new contract, Green Cargo will transport incoming production materials and outgoing final steel products.

Stegra's logistics development manager, Jenny Marin, said the collaboration ensures robust management for future operational flows.

Green Cargo CEO Henrik Dahlin added that large-scale rail logistics support the growth of the Swedish industry.
