Fortescue, an Australian metal mining company, announced a 2% increase in second-quarter iron ore shipments, driven by strong project performance.

Its Iron Bridge project saw a 44% annual rise, delivering 2.2 million tons in the quarter. Hematite operations also contributed, shipping 48.3 million tons during the December quarter. Total shipments reached 50.5 million tons, slightly above market expectations.

The company aims for Iron Bridge to reach full capacity by fiscal 2028.
