Fujian Kunbao New Materials, a subsidiary of Sanbao Group, contracted Fives to design and deliver two high-performance strip processing lines in Zhangzhou, China.

The project features two complete decarburizing and coating lines (DCL) engineered for grain-oriented (GO) electrical steel manufacturing, an important material for power transmission and distribution systems.

Each facility has a yearly output capacity of 100,000 tons. Fives will integrate advanced combustion and heat recovery technologies, achieving 70% overall furnace efficiency alongside ultra-low nitrogen oxide emissions to comply with environmental regulations.

Sanbao Group Chairman Wang Guangwen said that this partnership drives the company's advancement into the high-end steel segment, positioning the manufacturer among China's top-tier producers of high-grade oriented electrical steel.
